Every Lent we make efforts to grow closer to God through prayer, sacrifices, and spiritual practices. As you think about how you will strive to grow spiritually this Lent, we invite you to join in our Lectio Divina prayer meetings focused on the Sunday Gospels.

Lectio Divina is Latin for Divine Reading. It is a very prayerful approach to encountering Jesus through the Scriptures. Not only will this give you a chance to enter more deeply and prayerfully into the Word of God throughout Lent, but it will also help you stay connected to others in the parish and focused on the message we receive from God at Mass.

Directions for joining FORMED. St. Joseph Parish has a subscription to FORMED, so you do not need to purchase one yourself. To register as part of our parish to be able to utilize the FORMED content for free, use the following instructions. Go to https://formed.org/. Select the button that says, "Sign Up." You will then see three options - "I am an individual," "I am a Parish or Organization," or, "I Belong to a Parish or Organization." 

Select the last option, "I Belong to a Parish or Organization." You will be asked for the name of your Parish. Simply type in St. Joseph in Marion, Iowa. Once you have selected St. Joes as your parish and provided the other information they ask for, such as your email address, you will have access to all of the media content for free. This includes the video links Sean will be sending to you as part of this parish-wide initiative.
