The St. Joseph Music Ministry provides an opportunity for people who are gifted with musical abilities to share their gifts with this faith community. Music ministers assist in leading the faithful in the music incorporated within the Mass. There are different ways to get involved, whether through singing in a choir, cantoring, or playing an instrument.

If you are interested in sharing your musical gifts with our parish by singing or playing an instrument, please consider joining one of the following choirs or serving as a cantor or accompanist. Jubilation Singers:
This adult, mixed choir practices Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 PM in the church during the choir season.  High school age students and all age adults are welcome.  This choir sings for Mass once a month and during some special liturgies.

Harmony: 
This small, women's vocal ensemble sings together at Mass about once a month with a rehearsal before the scheduled Mass.   For more information or to join please contact: [email protected]

JAM:
 This awesome youth choir is open to high school age students with gifts in singing or playing an instrument. Rehearsals are on specified Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 PM and JAM sings at given Masses throughout the choir season. For more information and a schedule please contact:

Minor Miracles:
 This children's choir is open to 3rd -5th grade students.  Rehearsals are on specified Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:20 PM  before the YFF sessions. This upbeat group shares their talents every other month at Mass.  For more information and a schedule please contact: Patty Kelly at [email protected].

Major Miracles
 An awesome group of Middle school students grades in 6-8th grade who rehearse on specified Wednesdays from 4:30-5:20 PM and sing every other month throughout the choir season uplifting the congregation in song.  For more information and a schedule contact Patty Kelly at [email protected].

Resurrection Choir:
 This wonderful group of Music Ministers sings for Funeral Masses. Rehearsal is 35 minutes prior to the service. The choir is open to adults who are free during the daytime to come and bring comfort and care to our bereaved through music.   Director: Patty Kelly

Spirit Choir
  This small adult mixed choir sings three-four times per choir season and is great for those who like to sing, but don't have the time for a weekly rehearsal commitment.  For a schedule and more information contact Patty Kelly at [email protected]. 

Bell Choir: 
 The adult handbell choir rehearses on specified Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 PM and currently plays a few times per year.   An amazing ensemble that brings a wonderful ring to your day!

Cantoring:
 The ministry of cantoring is for those who are called to lead the congregation in worship and song. This ministry requires training and individual practice with an accompanist. Please contact Patty Kelly if interested at [email protected].

Accompanying: 
 This ministry is for trained individuals with the ability to accompany cantors during Mass.  The focus and intention is to praise God and lead congregational singing  with the cantor during the Mass (intermediate to advanced piano skills).
